In Design CS3....hell · Apr 28, 11:48 AM
So I’ve delt with InDesign since CS and have always had a slight distaste for it. Printing brochures and pamphlets and books were such a pain when you design in “designers spreads” and have to move around the pages to be in “printers spreads” for imposition to print. Croping images, duplicating pages, and all of the other tedious tasks.
InBooklet in CS2 was a great step up since it created the printers spreads for you. In CS3 a similar inovation was used, PrintBooklet.
Now, don’t get me wrong, sometimes it works perfectly…if you make sure to design them in multiples of 4 and take into consideration that there has to be something on every page— rather it be a white square, white text, or a small 6pt period. But 9/10 times, it will add random blank pages to “make the booklet” which in actuality randomizes the entire book, making pages fall on opposite sides of the spread.
I have written complaints to Adobe, practically BEGGING for some kind of update on CS3 to fix this horrible problem that makes my life a living hell. But I’m sure nothing will come of it
New Site! · Apr 27, 08:20 PM
Just got the site up and working thanks to David Sparks of Digital Skraps!
It might be a little bit before I get everything like it’s supposed to be, so bear with me.
